Does a Long Beach DUI Require Installation of an IID?

Yes, if you are convicted for an offense of VC23152 or VC23153 you will be required to have an ignition interlock device on any vehicle you have access to.  The reason for this requirement is Long Beach is part of L.A. county which is participating in the California pilot program for IID.  There are ways around this requirement.  For example, if the charge is reduced to a reckless driving or lesser offense than the mandatory device will be waived.  In any case, you should consult with a competent DUI Lawyer familiar with the laws and regulations pertaining to driving under the influence cases.
