About

Long Beach is known for its wonderful destinations, but for those unfortunate enough to find themselves in criminal trouble this site offers information and resources to allow the reader to navigate their way in the criminal court system.  It is not enough however to use the articles found herein, one should consult with a local attorney to get specific advice about their individual case, facts and defenses.  For example, if you have been stopped and charged with a DUI in Long Beach, the law gives you merely 10 days to demand a special administrative hearing to challenge the legal aspects of the stop, detention, arrest and chemical test taken.  Should a person disregard this rule, their privilege to drive in Long Beach or anywhere else in california will be suspended for a minimum of 4 months and as long as 3 years.

We certainly hope you find the information in this post helpful, always remember that specific legal advice cannot be substituted by reading a website or blog, you should get in touch with a lawyer to go over the details of your case as soon as possible.

I have a Warrant in Long Beach from Nov 2008 in the drug court. I was given permission to transfer/move to Sacramento CA, where I completed Prop 36 successfully. The reason I missed the court check in was because I was a patient in an HIV positive homeless shelter. Fast forward to now, I am an upstanding citizen/student who has been sober for 3+ years and needs to clean up the wreckage of my past.

I do not know where to start.

I have a warrant in Long Beach from Nov 2008 in the drug court. I was given permission to transfer/move to Sacramento, where I completed my Prop 36 and continued to check in with probation via fax monthly. The reason that I missed the court appointment was because I was an inpatient at a HIV + homeless shelter that would not allow me to travel. Fast forward to now, I am an upstanding citizen/ student that has over 3+ years of sobriety and I need to clean up the wreckage of my past. Hopefully with little to no jail time.

I don’t know where to start. I am not opposed to hiring a lawyer to help aid me through the process.
